Summer School was an international cooperation within the scope of the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS). This was the first edition of the summer school dedicated to bioeconomy. It addresses bioeconomy issues in interdisciplinary views and aims to bring students and teachers from various countries and fields to work together in order to discuss and talk about actual topics and problems of bioeconomy.
This summer school was attended by 15 participants for example from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, The University of Hohenheim, CULS Prague and Warsaw University of Life Sciences. It was preceded by an e-learning course. The main part of the summer school was organized at Warsaw University of Life Sciences and lasted 5 days during which there were held professor’s lectures and student’s presentations. Students presented identification of bioeconomy country-specific issues. One of the main points of the summer school was all day study tour – bioeconomy in practice. The schedule also included sightseeing tour around Warsaw Old Town and student social event: visiting Invisible Exhibition. From the perspective of the participant, the summer school allowed the development of scientific interests in bioeconomy, the exchange of experiences and establishing contact with new people from all of the world.
